What this unit is really testing

Unit 5 is the smallest by weight and the easiest to underprepare. It splits cleanly: what the platform can tell you, and what it can give you back. Monitoring questions turn on which signal answers the question asked; recovery questions turn on which service is being described, because two different protection stories are routinely offered in the same option list.

The order to work through it

  1. Learn the signal types first and what each is good for, because every later monitoring objective is built on that distinction.
  2. Then collection and query — where a signal is sent, and how it is read once it is there.
  3. Then alerting, which has three separable objects and is usually tested on which one to reach for.
  4. Finish with recovery: the vaults, the policy, the restore, and the separate story that is regional failover.

Are you ready to move on?

  • You can state this unit's published range without looking it up.
  • You can name every sub-area and say what separates it from its neighbours.
  • You can explain each trap above to somebody else, in your own words.
  • You have worked the unit's 67 bank questions and can say why the wrong options are wrong.

When all four are true, take a blueprint-weighted mock rather than more of this unit. A mock is the only asset here that tells you how this unit performs against the other four under time.
